Featuring

Isa & Allison Totah

Isa Totah is a consultant, speaker, and multidisciplinary artist who has spent three decades helping other artists succeed. After beginning his career in business with a degree in Marketing and an MBA, he left the corporate world to pursue acting and writing, later expanding into filmmaking, directing, and other creative disciplines. That combination of creative practice and business training shapes his work today. He has consulted more than 20,000 artists, focusing on the practical elements that turn talent into a sustainable career: craft development, marketing and branding, and the personal qualities of persistence, discipline, and clarity. Together with his wife Allison, he founded the Totah Foundation for the Arts, a non-profit dedicated to building a better world through the power of art.

Allison Totah is a dancer, choreographer, and consultant who has spent more than fifteen years working professionally in London, Copenhagen, Stockholm, New York, and other international venues. Together with her husband Isa, she co-founded the Totah Foundation for the Arts and travels the world helping artists build sustainable careers. She believes deeply in the transformative power of art and is especially drawn to working with people who have set their creativity aside or never recognized it in themselves. Alongside Isa, she focuses on helping artists reconnect with their work, regain momentum, and keep practicing.

“The missing element is almost always the person themselves—their persistence, their focus, their willingness to keep going.”

— Isa Totah

The “starving artist” myth is not romantic. It simply removes practicing artists from the world. Talent is essential, but it is not enough. The artists who survive combine craft, business sense, and character.

“You can improve talent with practice. You can learn business skills. Character is what determines whether you actually do either.”

— Isa Totah

“A world without art is just a very expensive grey room.”

— Isa Totah

“Success doesn’t negate brilliance—it protects it.”

— Isa Totah
